    Here’s Matt Granger’s take on his Df…

    • Ronan

      • ShaoLynx

The artist formerly known as ”that nikon guy”… 😉

        • Laci

No Chinese chicks this time from fat Matt?

          • Spy Black

            You’re missing them, aren’t you?…

  • Ronan

Great camera and lens. Now if only the Df was a bit shorter…

    Grammar Nazi time…

” *These* are the top 10 most visited NikonRumors posts for November 2013 – it was all about the Nikon Df ”

Sorry, had to do it. I’ve restrained myself many times in the past with that same word.

    • mikeswitz

I think the problem is the *-*. Were there two complete sentences the it would have referred to the list.

      • Global

He didn’t mean plural vs. singular — which you are correctly additionally pointing out (how many Grammar Nazis do we have around here?? lol..); he was referring to the fact that the list is being presented and thus is a “These,” not a “Those.”

However, I am not a grammar nazi and I hope the internet burns all language down into one mishmash of pidgeon Sino-English.. like in Blade Runner. 😀

        • mikeswitz

          Oh, right

  • JakeB

What lens is it that they have mounted on the Df? Looks like a 105 DC or a 135 DC. Anyone know?

    • Global

Your are correct — it is the 105DC or the 135DC. Those lenses are nearly identical and have the same build, except the 135 is very slightly longer.

      • JackB

Thanks. I guess the lens is meant to add to the retro style.

Interesting video by Steve Huff where he compares in detail the DF to various cameras in his “Camera of the year” and chooses his best of 2013…

    • Nikon F4 Lover

This makes it difficult to choose for Nikon Df.

  • Cuculain

Held the Df. Feels and looks quite cheap. Looking forward to the second Edition. Really like the concept. Make it right next time and you´ll get my fullframe money. My APS-C money is going to the Canon 7D Mark II. So sad, was such a big fan of your company and products. Please remember how to be ingenious, again!

  • Nikon F4 Lover

I want my F4 with digital back-end and the D4sensor ore better. How difficult is it for Nikon to build a normal digital camera? There was a digital back-end before so there is no need to change the perfect concept of the F4. Digital camera’s means an option to the existing camera as replacement for the film. The mechanic of the camera makes the shutter move. The digital back-end replaces the film.

  • Knack

Okay got to play with the Df today, lets see how loud I can scream this “it a cheaply over priced full frame striped of video”. Well that was a mouth full. So Nikon decides to “put out a camera for the old lenses” so says the rep, but why not put out a damn adapter. Your going to charge people $2700 for a mediocre build camera (some weather selling, yet it feels like plastic) with no video, at least make the thing mirror-less so the feel of cheapness matches the size.
