    Can anyone explain this;
I’ve clicked the “refurbished Nikon equipment” link on the right of this page, got into the BHP page, browsed for some camera bodies and clicked the “learn more” link in the “protect your purchase” box, on the right of the BHP page, I was reading the SageMax’s “terms and conditions” page when i found this:

“What is not covered: This Plan does not cover: (1) incidental or consequential damages (2) pre-existing conditions; (3) damage from abuse, misuse, introduction of foreign objects into the product, unauthorized product modifications or alterations, failure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions; (4) accessories and supplies, including but not limited to: BULBS AND/OR LAMPS, batteries, antennas, cartridges, styluses, records, audio/video disks, tapes, computer software or disks, print elements, external power supplies; (5) acts of god; “…

    “Acts of God”???

It’s an US turn of phrase used in legal contacts, it means any event outside human control such as earthquake, Tidal waves Floods, Meteoric hit, and so on.

    • Rob

That’s common legal terminology in insurance and other legal contracts.

Thanks to both of you for explaining!
I’d expect “Natural disasters”… but i sure didn’t expect to find “God” as I was looking for the “devil” in the details!

    • umesh

What is most important in these conditions is the second point. Preexisting conditions. It is not CONDITION but CONDITIONS. which absolves them of out of the box faults.

    Full moon tonight

      no moonshine here…

Whats that link again, the one for getting an ergonomic piece of a…cof…cof…piece of art?

I wish camera designers would get their influences from the right place! lol
Never heard about a guy complaining “my hands are too small to grab it”!
“Oh, it’s so big and heavy! I can’t imagine what it would be to hold it for a full day”!

Got to go, there’s a mooningbird, out there, calling…

      • T.I.M

I see what you mean, same problem with mine, my wife is always complaning:
“it’s too big, too heavy, my hands are too small”

        • ennuyé

          I bet you’ve answered:
“Thank God for your big mouth!”

Anyway, cameras used to be designed properly in the past, just look at this guy doing street photo with a large format pinhole:

Yeahh, I’ve noticed that to, he could have done a better job getting a clean orifice…

  • Jack the Slipper

News on the camera front slow ey? Resorting to rehashing old news… Sigh.. Wish the cams would be announced already.

Admin does a top rumours list every month.

      • Yes, have been doing that for a while – you can see if you have missed something. The top 10 posts are a good summary of what happened each month – it helps me also easily find posts that are few months/years old.

What worries me is the lack of rumors about the D400 and the V2… May be Nikon can keep a secret after all… 🙂

    • Everything is possible but I doubt it.

  • Summer is over, and many say the business year starts in September. Interesting things should be happening soon.
