Nikon D4 unboxing video

As I already mentioned earlier today, the Nikon D4 is now shipping and this is the first unboxing video. I am not sure why this D4 camera came with a Sony XQD card and a reader – this was probably a local special.

First Nikon D4 delivered

The first Nikon D4 is already in the hands of a reader in Prague, Czech Republic. The camera was delivered today by the NPS pro-dealer Fotoskoda.

Nikon D4 en route to some dealers in Europe

The Nikon D4 camera is currently en route to some dealers in Europe. I expect to see the first unboxing pictures/videos/samples tomorrow or the day after.

I still have no confirmation on the exact US delivery date. The camera is supposed to start shipping on March 15th, Amazon US expects it on March 20th.

According to Nikon USA tech support the Nikkor PC-E 24mm f/3.5D ED lens cannot be used with shifting and tilting on the Nikon D800. This discussion has been going on for few days now in the NR comments section and on Twitter and Nikon USA has not updated their response online which makes me think that this is their “final answer” (in the mean time they did remove one of the critical comments in that thread):
