This is an interesting comment from Nikon staff on their Facebook page about an idea of replacing the shutter button with a touch sensor: Now at least you now know how to submit your ideas to Nikon.

Nikon gets two TIPA 2011 awards

Today TIPA announced their 2011 awards for best photographic and imaging products. Nikon D7000 is the Best Advanced DSLR and the Coolpix P300 is Best General Camera. 2010 worldwide digital camera market shares by vendor

Bloomberg published data from IDC Japan about the 2010 worldwide digital camera market shares by vendor: Compared to 2009, Nikon gained market share but still remained at the #3 spot after Sony and Canon.
