Today Dpreview published their interview with Nikon at Photokina and as the editor mentioned in the comments, Nikon’s answer on the future of the DSLR (and few other questions) appears to be “we’ll keep doing what we’re doing“. Here are few other quotes that just confirm this statement:

Nikon officially announced the three KeyMission cameras. The prices are: KeyMission 360: $499.95 KeyMission 170: $399.95 KeyMission 80: $279.95 Pre-orders are not yet open.

A quick last minute update: today Nikon will introduce only the three new KeyMission action cameras and nothing else – no new cameras and no new lenses. I expect Nikon to have another announcement before the end of the year – maybe for the PhotoPlus show in October.
