Adobe Lightroom 5 released with Nikkor 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6G lens support

Adobe Lightroom 5

Adobe officially released Lightroom 5 with support for the new 80-400mm Nikkor lens, Coolpix A and P330 cameras. The upgrade prices starts from $79. A full list of supported new lenses and cameras can be found here. Adobe published also a set of FAQ that will help you migrate to LR5. If you run into any problems, some solutions are listed here. More on the new features of LR5 can be found on PhotoRumors.

Adobe Camera Raw 8.1 and DNG Converter 8.1 were also released and can be downloaded from this page.

The new Photoshop CC will be officially released on June 17th.

Retailers will start shipping Lightroom 5 on Tuesday, June 11th, 2013.

Nikon Japan announced the shipping date for the 1 Nikkor 32mm f/1.2 lens: June 13, 2013. The lens was announced on May 14th. On June 13th Nikon will also start shipping the HB-N107 lens hood, MC-25A adapter cord and CB-N2200FA case (available only in Japan).

New Nikon instant rebates for June: “the more you buy, the more you save”

Starting today, Nikon changed their instant US rebates and included several new lenses. The new rebates are “stackable”, which means that you can purchase more than one lens and still take advantage of the savings. If you don’t need a new body, you can get the cheap D3100 in order to qualify for the savings and then sale it. The qualifying Nikon DSLR bodies are: D3100, D3200, D5100, D5200, D7000, D7100, D600, D800 and D4. This offer will expire on June 29th, 2013. Most of those listings qualify for free shipping and 2% in rewards.
