The new 1 Nikkor 32mm f/1.2 lens mounted on the Nikon V2
In January Nikon announced the development of the 1 Nikkor 32mm f/1.2 lens (equivalent to 86.4mm in 35mm format, Nano Crystal coating, see patent). The lens has not been officially released, but new press images are already listed on Nikon USA website, even though they are not yet included in the site search or linked anywhere on the main page. Expect this lens to be released soon (price, delivery date, detailed specs).
A reader just emailed me a link to BestBuy’s website that lists the new Nikon Coolpix A camera for $899.99 which is $200 less than the originally announced price of $1,096.95. Maybe with the Nikon D7100 kit instant savings, on March 14th Nikon will also drop the price of the Coolpix A as well?
The $100 instant saving on the Nikon D7100 kit (with 18-105mm lens) I mentioned few days ago is already active on BestBuy’s website. The promotions should officially start on March 14th 2013.
Quick update: the Nikkor AF-S 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5G ED lens is now shipping and is currently in stock at B&H and Amazon US, Amazon UK and Amazon Germany. Sample images can be found on Nikon’s website.

The latest rumors suggest that Nikon USA will introduce a new $100 instant saving for the D7100 kit (with 18-105mm lens) starting on March 14th 2013, which is also the camera’s shipping date. Currently the D7100 kit is listed online for $1,596.95. The price of the D7100 body only will remain the same ($1,196.95). This is not the first time for Nikon to announce a discount the day a new product starts shipping – similar was the case with the Nikon 1 V2 last year.
