A Nikon Df camera review by Tom Grill (Web | Blog, click on images for larger view):
When I first held the Df I immediately felt at home, as if I was greeting the return of an old friend. The Nikon D3 and D4 cameras have been my professional digital workhorses, but I was weaned on the original Nikon Ftn and F2 cameras and eventually used every film camera Nikon has ever made. So it was no wonder why I was looking forward to the Df and why it felt so comfortable in my hands. I immediately mounted some of my older Nikkor glass on it, as you can see in the photo above.

Today Tamron announced the price and availability of their new SP 150-600mm F/5-6.3 Di VC USD (model A011) lens. The price in Japan will be ¥140,000 (around $1,350). Sample images taken with the lens can be found here and here.

Nikon Japan reports short supply/strong demand for the retro-styled Nikon Df DSLR camera:
The “Df”, announced after the date of November 5, 2013, state that received a reservation more than expected, production can not keep up with your order has continued. I am sorry to have to apologize for the inconvenience to our customers. Because we will work to continue intensive production, so thank you for your understanding.
That’s not really the case in the US where the Df is currently in stock in all major retailers. In the US the Df is even part of the current Nikon instant rebate program that is set to expire in two days (December 14th).

Check out this Nikon FA limited edition gold film camera listed on eBay for $12,000. The camera has never been used, it’s plated with 24K gold and decorated with lizard skin. Only 2000 pieces were produced. There are also several cheaper FA gold listings priced between $1000-$2000. Additional images and information:

Nikon Japan issued a warning about the semi-soft case CF-DC6 for not fitting properly on the Nikon Df camera. Nikon will replace the defective cases for free. I have not seen any CF-DC6 cases in US stores except on eBay where it sells for around $300. In Europe the price seems to be lower (159 EUR)
