A follow up on this post from yesterday: Nikon Service Point Munchen is selling their Nikon D300s demo camera on eBay: Nikon Service Point Munchen has been a good indicator of discontinued products in the past: when they sold their last D300 on eBay in 2009, the D300s was announced a month later.

Nikon D5000 RIP (officially discontinued by Nikon)

Nikon Japan has a listing of all discontinued Nikon products. The latest addition? Nikon D5000: The next candidate for this list is the Nikon D90 (probably in a matter of weeks, maybe even days). A Nikon D5000 replacement is expected soon and could be announced with the Coolpix refresh in mid-February.

Nikon Coolscan 9000 ED now discontinued also in the US

Nikon Coolscan 9000 ED is now listed as discontinued at B&H as well. The scanner has already been listed as discontinued in Europe. I expect the prices to go up on eBay.
