Nikon 180-400mm f/4E vs. 200-500mm f/5.6E lens specifications comparison
A quick specifications comparison between the new Nikon AF-S Nikkor 180-400mm f/4E TC1.4 FL ED VR lens that just started shipping and the significantly cheaper and very popular AF-S Nikkor 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR:
Sony executive predicts that Nikon will release a new full-frame mirrorless camera in the next 12 months
I am not sure if anyone will be surprised by this statement, but Dpreview reports that during their interview with Sony at the CP+, Kenji Tanaka (Sony Senior General Manager of the Digital Imaging Business Group) shared his personal opinion that Nikon will announce a new full-frame mirrorless camera in the next 12 months:
“This is just my personal opinion, but I think that maybe by next year’s CP+ you’ll see full-frame mirrorless cameras from Canon and Nikon. I think [by then] they will be participating in this market.”
Update: a recap of the entire interview can be found here.

Nikon AF-S Nikkor 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR lens listed as discontinued at Nikon UK store
I am not sure if this is a mistake, but the Nikon UK store lists the Nikon AF-S Nikkor 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR lens as discontinued (this listing has been online at least for a few weeks):
The Nikon AF-S Nikkor 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR lens was announced in March 2013 and it’s currently in stock in the US. In the UK WEX is “awaiting stock” while Amazon and Jessops have the lens in stock.
Update – in addition to the Nikon UK store, the Nikon AF-S Nikkor 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR lens is also listed as discontinued at the Nikon Denmark store:
