The first leaked image and Japanese pricing info for the Nikon D3200 camera leaked today:
- Nikon WU-1a: ¥4,720 (around $50)
- Nikon D3200 body only: ¥76,300 (around $900)
- Nikon D3200 + 18-55mm kit: ¥85,300
- Nikon D3200 + 18-55mm + 55-200mm kit: ¥107,800

The announcement of the Nikon D3200, the WU-1a Wi-Fi module and maybe a new lens (or lenses) should take place on April 19th. For all US readers, the official press release should be published online tomorrow (Wednesday) around midnight.
A new version of the Sunex 5.6mm f/5.6 Super Fisheye lens with Nikon F-mount for APS-C type (DX) cameras was announced few weeks ago. The lens has fixed aperture and focus, provides 185° angle of view and can get a complete panorama made with two shots. The previous version had a price tag of $799.
The first Nikon D800E cameras were already received in the US – here is the first unboxing video which makes it all official 🙂 The US version will NOT include a free copy of the Capture NX2 software.
The first Nikon D800E cameras are already shipping in Europe and as you can see from the images, they include a license key for Capture NX2 – a $135 value, which is almost half of the premium over a regular D800 model.

The $30 Wi-Fi solution for Nikon D4 described in this post had one limitation – the Wi-Fi bridge did not act as an access point and needed an established Wi-Fi network in order to operate. This setup can be further improved if you use an USB solar battery charger (around $15 on eBay) and the ASUS WL-330N3G mini Wi-Fi router (around $70 on Amazon):
