Nikon D610 announcement in 48 hours

Nikon-D610-logo
First I would like to thank everyone for the support in those hard times for me and my family.

In approximately 48 hours Nikon will announce the D610 camera. As I already mentioned, the D610 specs will be almost identical to the D600. The only known difference seems to be the improved fps rate (6 vs. 5.5) and a new weather sealing identical to the D800 (the D600 only had extensive” weather sealing in “various points of the body“). The D610 will be made in Thailand (just like the D600).

I will try to have some basic D610 coverage next week.

Motorsports, in some form or another, has been around for more than a century, and of course documenting motorsports through photography has been around for just as long. While motorsports generally involves competing to be the fastest from Point A to Point B, one form of motorsports known as “drifting” involves style and precision, rather than outright speed and lap times. Originating on the twisty mountain roads of Japan in the 1980s, purists may not regard this as a proper form of motorsports, but it’s definitely among the most exciting to watch and photograph.

Nikon-instant-rebates-September-2013
The current Nikon instant rebates program is set to expire tomorrow (September 28, 2013 at 11:59 PM EDT). Since B&H is currently closed, you can place your order now and they will ship it on September 29, 2013. Your card will not be charged until your order is shipped. In order to qualify for the instant savings on 30 different Nikkor lenses, you still have to purchase one of the nine current Nikon DSLR cameras. The rebates are stackable which means that you can buy multiple lenses with one body and still qualify for the savings.
