I am still getting conflicting information on the actual D4s announcement date. The Nikon press event in the Czech Republic tomorrow could be for the Coolpix cameras that were announced last week. Stay tuned for updates.

I just received this Nikon D4s picture from what appears to be a Nikon field office at the Winter Olympics in Sochi. The first pictures taken with the new camera also started to appear online (see the EXIF data on those photos: -1- | -2- | -3- | -4- | -5- | -6- | -7-). The D4s is rumored to be announced on February 11th in Europe. For all US readers, the official announcement will probably be tomorrow (Monday) around midnight EST. Stay tuned for detailed coverage.
Nikon released their financial results for the third quarter of the year ending March 2014. They also updated their estimations or the entire year:

Using light as a medium in long exposure photography is not a new idea, I’m just interested inn shedding some light (pun intended) on my techniques and show some examples of my work. My name is Nicholas Mrnarevic; I spend a lot of my time shooting portraits and headshots and concerts for teenybopper magazines. I shoot with a D800 and my main lens used for all of my light paining is the AF NIKKOR 14mm 2.8 D. You do not need this lens to get good shots, really any lens will work, and I just prefer this one.
Crutchfield is already listing the Nikon D4 as discontinued. The camera is also not in stock at the major US retailers (B&H, Adorama and Amazon). The good news is that the new D4s is rumored to have the same price.
