As I already reported, yesterday Techart officially announced the world’s first Sony E to Nikon Z autofocus adapter with a thickness of 2mm (available on eBay):
According to Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun, a newspaper specialized for Japanese manufacturing, Mr. Umadate, Nikon’s new CEO, said Nikon is going to launch a flagship mirrorless camera which is equivalent to the Nikon D5. He didn’t mention when they will launch the new model. Here is the translated quote:
In the past few months, I had several blog posts about Nikon’s upcoming cheaper mirrorless camera (see here and here). Nikkei also just reported that Nikon is going to announce a new mid-level mirrorless camera as early as this year. The price is going to be around 100,000 yen ($920):
Venus Optics will start producing Laowa full-frame mirrorless lenses for Nikon Z-mount. The first lens that will be announced in July/August will be a 10-18mm ultra wide-angle zoom – probably similar to the current 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 lens for Sony FE. Stay tuned for details. Laowa lenses are sold at Adorama and B&H.
