With the latest rebates and refurbished deals, it seems that Nikon is trying to clear their D810 and D750 inventory right before the summer when I expect the next big announcement to be. After the previously rumored D7500 camera is already officially announced, here is an updated list of what to expect next from Nikon:
- Nikon D810 replacement (expected to be announced this summer)
- Replacements for the Coolpix AW130 and P900 cameras
- Five new Nikkor lenses are rumored to be announced this year:
- One of them could be an ultra wide angle or a fisheye lens (probably a 10-20mm DX lens to compete with the Canon 10-18mm and Sigma 10-20mm)
- The second will be a new Nikkor AF-P 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 VR full frame lens
- The third lens will be a full frame E/FL telephoto (several patents already filed)
- I still have not heard anything about a Nikon D750 replacement (maybe in late 2017 or in 2018)
- Nikon “baby-D5” is still a possibility (could also be the Df replacement)
- New Nikon mirrorless is expected in late 2017 or in early 2018 (no other details)
