What to expect next from Nikon?

Here is an updated list of what to expect next from Nikon:

Cameras

Lenses

  • New Nikkor F-mount lenses: 60mm macro but it could also be a 200mm macro lens, Nikkor 600mm f/5.6 PF and/or a new Nikkor 400mm f/5.6 PF lenses are still a possibility (priority now are the new Z-mount lenses).
  • New Z-mount mirrorless lenses the Nikkor Z 14-30mm f/4 could be announced as early as next week – the 14-30mm lens will have an almost flat front lens that will allow the use of filters (77mm or 82mm), the lens barrel is sealed and retractable (the lens is very small and compact when not in use).

The lack of rumors suggests that if the D6 is announced next week at the 2019 CES show as expected, it will be only a development announcement without any details or technical specifications.

If we see any F-mount lenses in 2019, I believe it will be later in the year when some of the new Z-mount lenses are already announced. The main priority for Nikon now is really releasing the new Z-mount mirrorless lenses.
