A new high-end compact Nikon camera is still a possibility

Nikon DL 24-85 f/1.8-2.8 camera
There is some talk that Nikon is still considering to bring a new (DL-like?) high-end compact camera to the market at some point. Such decision could make sense since high-end compact cameras are seeing a small comeback (mainly driven by Canon). I even remember that in one of the already published interviews Nikon confirmed that they may bring back to life the DL line in the future. Of course, this talk could also be for the long overdue Nikon P900 replacement (the P900 is currently is out of stock at B&H, Amazon and Adorama).
