Grays of Westminster (Nikon UK dealer) announced a new price increase “on selected new products, including the Nikon D810 and D4S, from 1st December 2015“:

  • D810 DSLR Body = £2195.00
  • D810 + MB-D12 = £2475.00
  • D810 + AF-S 14-24mm f/2.8G = £3375.00
  • D810 + AF-S 24-70mm f/2.8G = £3295.00
  • D810 + AF-S 14-24mm f/2.8G + AF-S 24-70mm f/2.8G = £4475.00
  • D4S DSLR Body = £4195.00
  • D4S + AF-S 14-24mm f/2.8G = £5375.00
  • D4S + AF-S 24-70mm f/2.8G = £5275.00
  • D4S + AF-S 14-24mmm f/2.8G + AF-S 24-70mm f/2.8G = £6395.00 (All prices are inclusive of VAT at 20%.)

I am not sure if this price increase is specific to Grays or it’s for all UK retailers – check the latest Nikon prices at Wex Photographic, Jessops, Calumet and Amazon UK.

Nikon just officially announced the development of the following new products:

With the exception of the WT-6, all this should not be a surprise to regular [NR] readers. With this “development announcement” Nikon is telling us that they are still alive and relevant. I just hope they have planned more than that for 2016. This announcement also kills any hopes for a D400 camera, at least for the first few months of 2016 (otherwise they would have mentioned it today).

Greetings NR readers!  My name is Jason and I have been a Hawaii based photographer for the past 6 years.  A month ago I decided to see an airshow as I haven’t been to one in many years.  Since the local photo gear rental shop I frequent just got their delivery of the Nikon 200-500mm f/5.6E lens I was very keen on testing out this lens on fast but predictable moving targets.  I was also interested in testing out the lens since I was seriously considering it as a future lens purchase.
