New Nikon AF-S Nikkor 200-400mm f/4E ED VR lens rumored to be announced at the end of 2017

Nikon is rumored to announce a new Nikkor AF-S 200-400mm f/4E ED VR lens towards the end of 2017. The lens will be equipped with a built-in 1.4x extender just like the latest Canon version. Optical quality is expected to be extremely high and so will be the price (the current models is priced at $6,996.95). The new lens will mainly be targeted at sports photographers. Shipping should start before the 2018 FIFA World Cup that will take place in Russia from June 14th to July 15th, 2018.

The new Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 lens now listed at Adorama


The new Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 full frame lens for Nikon F-mount DSLR cameras is now available for pre-order at Adorama. It appears that the lens is not yet officially announced. The official announcement should take place on June 30th.

The price of the Tamron lens is $1,199. For comparison, the price of the new Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 Art lens is $1,299, while the Nikon version is $2,396.95. The previous version of the Tamron 24-70mm lens is now priced at $1,099.

This Nikon D500 camera still works after getting destroyed by a German Shepherd named Rex



The Belgian photo store PCH sent me this story of a Nikon D500 camera being chewed by a German Shepherd named Rex. While some of the plastic is gone, the dog could not damage the magnesium alloy frame and the camera is still working as you can see in the video:
