Today Digicame-info confirmed my previous reports that Sigma will announce their first lenses for Nikon Z-mount next year (2023). The original information is coming from the former Nokishita, so I am very confident that it is accurate. I expect to see the official announcement to be at the CP+ show in Japan in February 2023.

The serial number is probably a combination of the information for the focal length and the aperture stop, as well as the consecutive number 1 for the very first lens of this Series.
