New flash? SB-700? Maybe they just have a good sense of humor.

From Kamera & Bild:
“It is also expected a successor to the Nikon D60 with 12 megapixels and screen viewfinder. So the same sensor technology as the D90. One question that arises is what such a camera should be named. D60-successor can not be called D70 or D80…”
Here is also another link to a online store in Australia that promises Nikon D3x to be in stock by December 31, 2008.
There was a big discussion at NR about film vs. digital. I came across an interesting video on this topic. The cameras used were Nikon D700 and Nikon F5. Can you guess who was the winner?
Confirmations about the December 1st even started to pop up all over the world:
“I am a member of Nikon NPS. I just got an invitation to Nikon press-conference, which is here in Finland (Helsinki) on December 1st in the morning (local time). It is about launching a new product:
Nikon invites you to the launching conference.
Time: December 1st 2008 at 9.00-12.00
Place: (This is one of the conference places in Helsinki).
The conference will be opened by the country manager of Finland and after his opening speech a Nikon product-specialist will talk about current news from Nikon.”
Already reported few days ago: the December 1st Nikon event in China.
Yes, it’s coming folks!
If you are in Canada, today is your lucky day – see all the details here.
KR got a tip for a Nikon D3x sighting at the JC Penney (Mall of Louisiana in Baton Rouge). This is a joke, but I still called the portrait studio (yes, I am a sucker) and they had an interesting message on their voicemail – “we are now using a revolutionary new method of taking pictures with a handheld camera…blah blah” Call them up: 1-225-766-4410 and press option 7 – the person on the phone was able only to confirm that they are using Nikon and then she hang up on me before she could tell me the model number…lol
