The Nikon D4s user’s manual is now available for download on nikonusa.com.
The D4s is expected to start shipping on Thursday, March 6th but it seems that several photographers have already received their cameras: see this short unboxing video and this Instagram picture from Nikon Australia:
Nikon released version 1.5.0 of their Wireless Transmitter Utility. This software is for photographers who use the Communication Unit UT-1 ($374.95), the Wireless Transmitter WT-4 ($749), WT-5 ($559) or the Ethernet feature built into the D4 and D4s cameras. Here are the changes introduced in the new version:
The current Nikon 1 lens lineup
In addition to the V3 mirrorless camera and 10-30mm f/3.5-5.6 PD VR lens, Nikon is also rumored to announce a new 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 VR zoom for the Nikon 1 system. The new lens will feature very advanced optics with SuperED glass and Nano coating. The official announcement t is expected this month.
Update #1: this Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 VR zoom lens is also rumored to be collapsible like the recently announced 18–55mm f/3.5–5.6G DX lens.
Update #2: Nikon has already filed a patent for 70-300mm f/4-5.6 lens (FX equivalent: 190-810mm) designed for a camera with 1″ sensor:
