Nikon patents update (part 2)

Back in November Nikon filed patents for 24mm f/2.8 and f/3.5 full frame lenses. Few weeks ago, a new patent 201159288 was filed in Japan for a 24mm APS-C lens: Two different versions of this lens were described in the patent – one with f/2.0:

First, a new patent application for a 10mm f/2 wide angle lens with a 155° angle of view: Next patent application 20110080659 is for a 18mm f/2.8 DX format (28mm equivalent). Nikon to open its own subsidiary in Brazil

The Brazilian magazine Fotografe Melhor reports in this month’s issue that Nikon is finally arriving in Brazil with an official representation. To get everything started, Nikon has hired some experienced executives from Sony (William Silveira) and Canon (Wagner Battistel). The official announcement should be somewhere in 2011. Nikon live chat support now available in German and French

Over a month ago Nikon UK introduced live chat support on their website. Today the live chat option was launched also for French and German languages.
