Hoping the D90 will also be announced. Curious that the leaked pix of the P6000 has OVF and the “Top Model” here would omit this. Plus 14.5 MP doesn’t sound like a step in the right direction – I hope this rumor is off…

12 fps??? is that even possible for a P&S?

That’s comical, there’s absolutely no way, nor would it be the slightest bit practical.

I had the same concerns/questions and went back and forth few times with the source, but this seems to be all true. The good part is that we don’t have to wait long in order to find out.

What happen to RAW, and will this P&S be able to do
videos? Still no indication on price or availability. Are there additional views of the P6000 in circulation.

IMO this is totally bogus, even if you have been through the rounds with your source. Something tells me we aren’t going to see a P&S with a larger buffer capacity than the D90 and possibly D300. But as you say, we only have to wait a couple days…

    14.5 Mpx @ 12,800 ISO, 12fps on a P&S?

I really doubt that, unless Nikon are about to launch a P&S that’s far better than the D3.

Keep an open mind, sure, but not so wide open your brains fall out.

Hey! You can shoot video @ 15/30 fps, so 12 is realistic with less megapixels, isn’t it?
