
Intel is going to acquire Tower Semiconductor for $5.4 billion – this was officially announced today. It has been speculated that the Nikon Z9 sensor is made by Tower Semiconductor (former Tower Jazz). Here are the details:

In the latest investor and analyst online conference presentation (page 32) Tower Semiconductor (former TowerJazz) presented a table on the current growing markets and in the “High-end photography” category they listed “Growing market share with a leading DSLR maker” with pictures of the Nikon Z50 and the Nikon D7500 cameras:
