A quick recap on the Nikon D810A camera:
Photographybay discovered a series of cell phone related Nikon patents (see this previous filing for a camera that can be attached to a smart phone, another phone related patent can be found here). I’ve already mentioned that Nikon is rumored to be working on some kind of a smart phone integration.
Nikon also has a new patent for 1 Nikkor 10-600mm f/3.5-6.7 VR FL lens (designed for 1″ sensor).
This is an updated post on what to expect from Nikon in the future – the next official announcement will most likely be for the Nikkor 16-80mm f/2.8-3.5 DX, 500mm f/4E and 600mm f/4E FL ED VR lenses (not sure if they will be introduced together):
The US price of the Tokina 24-70mm f/2.8 AT-X Pro FX lens was announced today: $999. B&H, Adorama and Amazon are currently taking pre-orders. Shipping will start in August.
