In addition to the upcoming D4s and D810 UK price increase, the price of most lenses is rumored to go up by 5%-20% in early 2016. For now the info I received is only for the UK, I am not sure if the same will happen to other European countries.
If you need a new Nikkor, it is a good idea to order it before the end of the year. Check out the latest Nikon prices at Wex Photographic, Jessops, Calumet and Amazon UK.
I received a tip that Nikon has expanded their refurbished business to some European countries.
In the US refurbished Nikon gear can be found at Amazon, B&H, Adorama, eBay, Cameta Camera, BuyDig and at the official Nikon Store.
Grays of Westminster (Nikon UK dealer) announced a new price increase “on selected new products, including the Nikon D810 and D4S, from 1st December 2015“:
I am not sure if this price increase is specific to Grays or it’s for all UK retailers – check the latest Nikon prices at Wex Photographic, Jessops, Calumet and Amazon UK.
The 2015 Nikon Black Friday flyer leaked online. The deals listed are not really exciting – pretty much a combination of the recent lenses price drop and existing combo rebates. If something else shows up next week, I will be posting it in the new dedicated deals page at nikonrumors.com/deals (available in the top navigation menu).
Nikon just officially announced the development of the following new products:
With the exception of the WT-6, all this should not be a surprise to regular [NR] readers. With this “development announcement” Nikon is telling us that they are still alive and relevant. I just hope they have planned more than that for 2016. This announcement also kills any hopes for a D400 camera, at least for the first few months of 2016 (otherwise they would have mentioned it today).
