Dpreview published a comparison between the Nikon Z7 ($3,396.95) and Sony a7R III ($2,998 after $200 rebate) mirrorless cameras. They evaluated 10 different aspects of both cameras and here is a recap of their findings:

Here is a quick update on the already registered Nikon cameras – back in April I reported that in 2018 Nikon is rumored to announce only two high-end cameras (Z6 and Z7) and at least two lenses:

I am sure many of you have missed my original post about the new Nikon XQD memory cards: Nikon is going to start selling their own XQD memory cards for the Nikon D5/D500/D850/Z6/Z7 cameras. It is not clear if the new XQD cards are just rebranded Sony, Lexar or Delkin cards.
Two different Nikon XQD memory cards will be available: 64 GB and 120 GB. The write speed is 400 MB/s, while the read speed is 440MB/s. Shipping will start in September.

A quick update on the previous report that the first Nikon Z camera preorders will come with a free XQD memory card. WEX already lists a free Sony G 64GB XQD memory cards with all Nikon Z6 and Z7 pre-orders:

The previously rumored Nikon D3500 entry-level DSLR camera (pictured above) will be announced soon. Nokishita reports the expected release date as September 28, 2018. The Japanese pricing will be as follow (tax included):
