I have some important new details to share on the upcoming Nikon full frame mirrorless camera:
Another very interesting development: similar to the NOCT trademark, two weeks ago (on July 31st) Nikon also registered the “NIKONOS” trademark which was already expired back in 2008. This is what is listed under “goods and services”:
The new Nikon mirrorless camera is already out in the field and I have already received the first drawing from a person who has used/seen/tested the camera.
As you can see from the sketch, the back layout is similar to most Nikon DSLR cameras with the exception that there are no buttons/controls on the left side of the screen. The screen itself looks pretty big and there is also a comfortable/ergonomic thumbrest in the upper right corner.

Otherwise, today it’s August 11th and the Nikon D850 is still out of stock in the major three online camera stores in the US (B&H, Adorama, Amazon). There is no estimated availability date listed anywhere.
