The buildup

I received my preordered Nikon Z 400f4.5 a few weeks before my first-ever trip to Africa – a lifelong dream trip. I ordered this lens in the hopes of bringing it along as my main telephoto lens as it is smaller and lighter than my alternative. Every piece of information about this lens before its release had it attached to the Z9 which I do not own. This was an unknown lens+camera combo that I hoped could be my daily driver in Africa on Safari.

Nikon is rumored to release more firmware updates for the Z6/Z7 cameras

Nikon is rumored to continue to support Z6 and Z7 models with new firmware updates. We are not only talking about extending support for new lenses but also improving functionality. It is nice to see that Nikon slowly changed their strategy and started to support older products (this was not the case in the DSLR era). If you look at the firmware updates history for the past few months, you will see recent updates for the D5, D6, D780, D850, and even the 10 years old D7100.
