A reader buys a Nikkor Z 35mm f/1.8 S lens, gets a warranty for a “Z 85/1.2 S” lens (Nikkor Z 85mm f/1.2 S lens coming soon)


A reader purchased a Nikkor Z 35mm f/1.8 S lens. The warranty card that came with the lens was labeled as “Z 85/1.2 S“:




This means we should be very close to the official announcement of the Nikkor Z 85mm f/1.2 S lens (see patent).

This is also the official confirmation that the second 85mm Z lens will be f/1.2 (Nikon never listed the aperture in their lens roadmaps):

The next Nikkor Z 35mm S-line lens will be f/1.2 (plus new drawings of upcoming lenses)
