Nikon on Nikkor Z teleconverters: “we are thinking about it”

Nikon currently doesn’t offer any Nikkor Z teleconverters but they “are thinking about it” according to the latest Dpreview interview with Kenji Oishi (Department Manager of Nikon’s UX Planning Dept, Imaging Business Unit):

‘The roadmap is always evolving, year by year, which is why we don’t put any dates on it. Additionally, we understand that many potential customers are interested in teleconverters and we are thinking about it. Although [teleconverters] are not in the Lens Roadmap, we understand the necessity of those accessories. Nikon is fully committed to the future of the Z system, and we will have 23 lenses by the end of 2021.”
