Nikkor 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5 and 1 Nikkor 6.7-13mm f/3.5-5.6 lenses to be released on March 7th

Nikon Japan officially published the release date for the Nikkor 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5G ED ($746.95) and 1 Nikkor 6.7-13mm f/3.5-5.6 ($496.95) lenses as March 7th. The 18-35mm lens was announced on January 28th, the Nikon 1 6.7-13mm lens was introduced on January 7th.

Nikonos RS lenses modified to work with modern Nikon DSLR camera

The Nikonos RS system was one of the best underwater camera solutions back in the 90’s. The product line was discontinued in 1996. The high quality RS lenses could only be used with Nikonos cameras because they had a proprietary electronic protocol not compatible with other Nikon F mount cameras. Andrej Belic was able to convert Nikonos RS lenses to work on a current Nikon DSLR body with fully functional AF, shutter speed, aperture, exposure mode, metering, Liveview AF and exposure compensation – watch the video below for more information:

Nikon’s high-end compact APS-C sensor camera coming in 1-2 weeks

The rumored compact camera with DX sized sensor will be announced in the next 1-2 weeks. The entire confusion last week came from the fact that Nikon did announce a new Coolpix S3500 camera for the European market. Since I was told to expect the D7100 and a new compact camera, I assumed that the high-end DX model will be announced.
