New Nikon lens only rebates coming this Sunday (incl. $200 off the 200-500mm f/5.6E lens)

Nikon will launch new Nikon lens only rebate this weekend that will include $200 off on the NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8G ED and NIKKOR 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR lenses. I believe the full list of lenses that will be discounted can be found here (not 100% sure):

Nikon Z6 now expected to start shipping in the US on November 16th

Today all three major US retailers changed the Nikon Z6 shipping date to November 16th (Friday next week): Adorama | B&H | Amazon. This is a week earlier than the official Nikon Japan shipping date of November 23rd. Current Z6 pre-orders were also updated with the new shipping date.

Also: Shutterbug, Dpreview and Imaging Resource published their Nikon Z6 sample gallery from the recent Nikon press event in Orlando.

Nikon Q2 financial results are out

Nikon released their financial results for the second quarter of the year ending March 31, 2019 (click on slides for a larger view):

  • Operating profit was ¥30.6 billion, up ¥7.6 billion.
  • Restructuring improved profitability, posting a record gross profit in 10 years.
  • Operating profit surpassed by ¥3.6 billion.
  • Dividends are now ¥30, up ¥16 from ¥14 of the previous year.
