I received several tips from readers that even now, in mid-March, Adorama and B&H are still shipping Nikon Z9 cameras that were ordered on the day of the announcement (October 28). Some unconfirmed reports suggest that the big stores have several thousand Z9 pre-orders…

Amazon removed again their Z9 listing – I think this indicates that they will also be sold out for a while (the listing was available just last week).

More and more third-party manufacturers started releasing mirrorless lenses for Nikon Z mount – two new cine lenses were announced yesterday:


Venus Optics Laowa 7.5mm T2.9 Zero-D S35 cine lens for Nikon Z-mount (more info).


Sirui 75mm T2.9 1.6x full-frame anamorphic lens for Nikon Z-mount (Sirui already has three anamorphic lenses for Nikon Z-mount).

Irix also has several cine lenses for Z-mount.

Reminder: Nikon price increases coming in Europe on April 1st

Canon, Leica, TTartisan, and today Tokina and Zeiss announced new price increases for their products. This is also a reminder that Nikon also announced a new price increase coming to Northern Europe on April 1st.

My guess is that all those prices increases will slowly propagate also to other countries.
