Nikon gets two TIPA 2011 awards

Today TIPA announced their 2011 awards for best photographic and imaging products. Nikon D7000 is the Best Advanced DSLR and the Coolpix P300 is Best General Camera. 2010 worldwide digital camera market shares by vendor

Bloomberg published data from IDC Japan about the 2010 worldwide digital camera market shares by vendor: Compared to 2009, Nikon gained market share but still remained at the #3 spot after Sony and Canon. Nikon to open its own subsidiary in Brazil

The Brazilian magazine Fotografe Melhor reports in this month’s issue that Nikon is finally arriving in Brazil with an official representation. To get everything started, Nikon has hired some experienced executives from Sony (William Silveira) and Canon (Wagner Battistel). The official announcement should be somewhere in 2011.
