
A quick update on my last NX-D post: yes, the Nikon NX-D software is indeed made by Silkypix. Using a hex editor, a reader found “Ichikawa Soft Laboratory SILKYPIX” in one of the Capture NX-D files named CNXD.dll.
Nikon released version 1.5.0 of their Wireless Transmitter Utility. This software is for photographers who use the Communication Unit UT-1 ($374.95), the Wireless Transmitter WT-4 ($749), WT-5 ($559) or the Ethernet feature built into the D4 and D4s cameras. With the D4s and the two Quick Draw straps, Nikon also announced a new RAW image processing and adjustment software called Capture NX-D. You can download a beta version on this website.
