Also released: firmware updates for Nikon D4, D3S, D3X, D3, D7000 and D3200

In addition to the D600 and D800 updates, Nikon released also new firmware for the D4, D3S, D3X, D3, D7000 and D3200 DSLR cameras. All versions include support for the 800mm f/5.6 lens, the D4 and D3200 firmware contain several additional fixes. The D7100 currently doesn’t have added support for the 800mm f/5.6 lens. Aquatica AD4 underwater housing for the Nikon D4

Nikon D4 firmware update A1.04, B1.02 released

Nikon released firmware update A1.04, B1.02 for the D4 which contains one improvement: “subject tracking performance in AF-C (continuous-servo autofocus) autofocus mode with framing using the viewfinder has been improved”. The new firmware can be downloaded on Nikon support site.

XQD finally gets some love from Lexar

   One year after the introduction of the Nikon D4, Lexar finally announced two new XQD memory cards with 32GB and 64GB capacity. The new cards offer a minimum guaranteed read transfer speed of 1100x (168 MB/s), write speed is lower. More details at PhotoRumors.
