Nikon announced two new products that will enable the use of Nikon fieldscopes on Nikon 1 mirrorless cameras. Similar product already exists for DSLRs (see sample images). Quick update for all Wi-Fi cards fans: in their latest firmware release v5.0018 Eye-Fi resolved the compatibility issue with Nikon D800/D800E cameras. FYI: Transcend recently announced their own 16GB and 32GB Wi-Fi enables SD memory cards.
According to Nikon Japan and Amazon.com the new AF-S Nikkor 70-200mm f/4G ED VR lens ($1,399) will start shipping next week, on November 29, 2012. Sample images taken with the new lens can be seen here, here and here.
