    Dear Peter,

Whether Nikon Rumors is right or wrong – of no importance. It’s fun to meet here professionals, amateurs, rational and emotional guys, trols and other crazy people – many thanks for enabling this and to keep Nikon on our radars with exciting speculations.

Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to you and the whole community.

    NR – where there’s smoke there’s fire.

Put it out tonight, Peter – otherwise Santa will have a hard time delivering your D4.

Nonetheless, Merry Christmas – and thanks for a great site.

  • KitHB-san

Using NR here to send holiday greetings to everyone at Nikon (and their families) in Japan, Thailand and everywhere, who have just had such an astonishingly difficult year.

We all wish you well, thank you for your hard work and hope for your success and prosperity in 2012 and beyond.

    • Amen!

The most blessed of holidays and comfort to everyone affected by those natural disasters and may your 2012 be much brighter and filled with hope and success.

  • j

Admin, can you further elaborate on happy holidays? Does it mean you have some undisclosed information about a D4.. haha

  • Happy Holidays to you at NR and to all who visit! I want to believe that Nikon won’t pixel pack the D800 and D400 after all 🙂

  • Eb Screw

Bah! Humbug! vWhen will I get my D800!

  • broxibear

Nikon D800 sensor made by Sony ?…
“Sure, a lot of what we talk about at BostInno has to do with gadgets, but that doesn’t mean that we’re about to overlook the 36-megapixel (you read that right) sensor that they’ve handed over to Nikon for use in Nikon’s D800, due out early in 2012. SONY will also go on to use the sensor in their own, cheaper A9-series camera, which is also expected to be announced within the next couple of months.”

  • No VR

I’ll have no happy whatever until Nikon gets off its throne to deliver THE BEST EVER BODY BASED IMAGES STABILIZATION!!!
Bring it on, come on: You can do it! Don’t listen to those guys who say “no need for that, my lens is stabilized and otherwise use a tripod you weakling, blah, blah, blah”
Btw. there is a Sony patent that you can cheaply acquire, no need to tell anybody. Just go to your labs and implement it in your up-and-coming successor to the D800: The D900 VRIII 😉

  • Emanuele

Merry Christmas and happy new year from Sardinia, Peter!
(hey Santa, where is my D800???)

  • Johan

Beside the fact that your e-postcard destroyed my eyes, I want to say thanks for your extraordinary fine work at this website and wish a merry christmas to the whole staff of NR.

  • canon usa

Merry Christmas & happy holidays to NR from all of us here at Canon Inc.

  • I believe that no matter what crazy ideas come out of Nikon HQ in 2012, they’ll still be BY FAR the best system on the market…..for ME at least… 🙂

  • PeterO

A very Merry Christmas to all and a Happy “News” Year.

  • Merry Christmas From Singapore! Wish you all a Nikon Year. I can’t afford a D400, D800 or D4, but I hope YOU can! May your bags be full of lens’s and laptop full of awesomeness.

    • Make one of those cameras your wish for 2012!

  • Sam

wishing everyone here a merry merry christmas and happy holidays!

may your Christmas be filled with picture-perfect scenes and boxes of lenses around the Christmas tree

For me, it isn’t important if NR is accurate or not in it’s predictions, what I’m glad about is that I can wake up to some Nikon news everyday and the fun of speculating photographic technologies.

  • simpleguy
