One of the most popular Nikon lenses, the Nikkor 85mm f/1.8G, will be $100 off next week.
Nikon may bring back the popular “lens-only” rebates (no need to purchase a DSLR body in order to qualify) for six different Nikkor models for Father’s Day. The special is supposed to run from June 8-14th and will include the following lenses (with the corresponding instant savings):

Another Nikon announcement is coming soon: the latest rumors I received today indicate that Nikon will soon announce new product(s) (could be as early as this week). I still cannot confirm the exact date, but the D800/E replacement was rumored to be announced this month. Another possibility is the new Coolpix camera with 1″ sensor.

In the next 1-2 years Nikon is rumored to upgrade their remaining high end tele-lenses with fluorite element (FL) currently only present in the Nikkor 800mm f/5.6 ($17,896.95) and the Nikkor 400mm f/2.8 ($11,996.95).
