Nikon announces two new AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G lenses
Nikon announced two new DX lenses (I reported on that rumor last month). The new AF-P stands for “fast and quiet AF with adoption of a stepping motor for AF drive operation“:
“The AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR accelerates phase-detection AF speeds by approximately 10 times and contrast-detection AF speeds by approximately 3.5 times. With a 25% reduction in noise within the AF drive, this lens is great for shooting stills and even better for videos.” (source: Nikon Asia)

If the Nikon D5 will be announced at CES, it will be tonight
Update: the D5 announcement will be tonight, Nikon New Zealand already posted the info on Facebook.
If Nikon will announce the D5 camera during the CES show, the press release should come out tonight around midnight (EST). I have been receiving conflicting information on the actual release date and on the memory cards configuration inside the D5: the two XQD option is guaranteed, a version with two CF cards was tested but I am not sure if it will be officially announced. The latest updates on the D5 specs are:

→ The latest Nikon D5 rumors: the camera will have two XQD cards (I guess the previously rumored CF models were only for testing). The D5 will also have less than 15 fps rate. Another possible announcement date is the second week of February (previous rumors were pointing to a January announcement).
