• 20.9-megapixel APS-C/ DX format sensor lets you capture high quality photos and videos, with gorgeous colors and amazing low light ability.
• Dedicated Picture Control button allows for one-touch access to inspiring color presets, Imaging Recipes and custom Flexible Picture Controls, all in real-time.
• EXPEED 7 image processing engine gives users access to powerful features and performance, including an advanced AF system with subject detection and 3D Tracking.
• Bright electronic viewfinder at 1000 cd/m2 (nits), is roughly twice as bright as the one built into the Nikon Z50, allowing users to easily check focus and compose even on the brightest of days.
• Rapid photo burst shooting with up to 30 fps with electronic shutter, or up to 11 fps with the mechanical shutter.

So, everything I have seen so far points to a new Nikon Z50 II camera announcement tonight – here is what to expect:

• Updated body design
• Expeed 7
• Flippy screen like the Z6 III
• USB-C
• Will use the same Nikon EN-EL25 battery
• Same 20.9MP DX-format CMOS sensor as the Z50 (not confirmed yet, hopefully my info is wrong and they will introduce a new sensor – Fuji for example, is already using a 40MP sensor in their latest X100VI camera)
• No battery grip will be available for the Z50 II
• Compatible with the new Nikon Imaging Cloud

Nikon Italy has scheduled an event for tonight under the label:

“Nikon Digital Event – Discover the news, we are waiting for you on 7/11 at 11:00 AM CET”

I have not seen a similar event being posted by other Nikon subsidiaries, so I am not sure if this will be about the rumored Z50 II camera. Stay tuned for updates.
