Rumors: the upcoming Nikon Z6/Z7 firmware update will improve low light focus capability to -6EV for the Z6 and -4EV for the Z7
Nikon confirmed that the new eye-detection AF firmware update and more for the Nikon Z6/Z7 cameras is scheduled to be released next week (May 16th). This timeframe matches with my previous report of a CF Express firmware update for the Nikon Z cameras to be released in the second quarter of 2019.
I received a rumor that the upcoming firmware update will also improve low light focus capability to -6EV for the Z6 and -4EV for the Z7.
The Nikon NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.8 S mirrorless lens rumored to be announced this month
A quick update to my last post about what’s next from Nikon:
- The NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.8 S lens will be announced next, probably even this month (May).
- The NIKKOR Z 70-200mm f/2.8 lens is coming in the last quarter of 2019
- The NIKKOR Z 70-200mm f/4 lens is coming in the second half of 2020
