Nikon Repair Center saves a lens damaged by salt water by boiling it

The Nikon Repair Center in Taiwan repaired a Nikkor 17-35mm f/2.8 lens ($1,769.00) that was dropped in the sea by… boiling it. After the staff dissembled the lens for investigation, they determined that the AF motor was damaged and needed to be replaced:

Adobe Lightroom 4.1 released with Nikon D4 and D800/D800E support

Adobe released Lightroom v4.1 with added support for Nikon D4, D800/D800E and other recently announced cameras. The Mac version is available here. Adobe ACR 7.1 (Windows | Mac) and DNG Converter 7.1 (Windows | Mac) are also now available. New lens profiles were added for the following lenses with F mount:

Nikon NPS roadshow gear stolen worth £100k, including D4, D800

The van transporting the gear for the Dublin NPS roadshow was stolen on Saturday night near The Phoenix Park in Dublin, Ireland. The van contained Nikon equipment valued at £100,000 ($156,000) including the brand new D4 and D800 demo cameras. Her is a list of the stolen equipment with serial numbers, please spread the word:
