Nikon really wants you to know that a new flagship mirrorless camera is coming later this year



In recent interviews at CP+ and with Dpreview, Nikon really wanted everyone to know that a new flagship mirrorless camera with a high-resolution stacked sensor (see rumored specifications) is coming later this year. The goal of the new model is to surpass the D6. All this is nothing new for the regular NikonRumors reader – I have been reporting about the new Nikon flagship mirrorless camera since 2019 and even Nikon confirmed it on several occasions in the past. CIPA January 2021 numbers: it’s no longer all red

Two new Nikon cameras registered in Russia


Nikon has registered two new cameras in Russia under the code names N2014 and N2016. I expect that Nikon’s next announcement will be for a new APS-C mirrorless camera in the first half of 2021. The high-end Nikon Z camera is rumored for the end of 2021. Nokishita reports that from the previously registered Nikon camera models the N1929 is the Z6 II and the N1932 is the Z7 II.

Another SPECULATION that Nikon will exit the camera business (CLICKBAIT ALERT)


People have been speculating (or rather wishing) that Nikon will exit the camera business for years, maybe even decades. I remember the same conversations during the move from film to digital… then Sony was going to buy Nikon, then Fuji was going to buy Nikon… there was also the Nikon acquiring Samsung’s camera business fiasco, and just recently Nikon UK was going to shut down… I am sure I am missing a few more conspiracies from the past that had only one intention: TO GENERATE CLICKS!
