New: FusionTLC Raven universal lighting and camera controller for Nikon cameras

The front face of the Raven with a revolutionary touchscreen and haptic ring dial.

The Raven SyncView mode captures flash pulses with a built-in light meter and displays the pulse visually with the opening and closing of the camera sensor curtains. Then using the dial, the photographer can adjust the delay timing for optimal sync exposure.

SyncView has a dedicated button the side of the Raven making the feature easily accessible.

FusionTLC announced a new universal lighting and camera controller for Nikon cameras called Raven. This new product is created by the founder of PocketWizard and is compatible with most Nikon cameras and lighting control compatible with Godox, Profoto, the Einstein from Paul Buff, and PocketWizard products with more brands being added soon. The price of the Nikon version is $449 and you can purchase it directly from the FusionTLC website.

Nikon announced firmware updates for the Z7II, Z6II, Z7, Z6, Z5, and Z50 mirrorless cameras


Nikon officially announced the previously rumored firmware updates for all current Nikon Z cameras:

  • Firmware update version 1.20 for the Z 7II and Z 6II
  • Firmware update version 3.30 for the Z 7 and Z 6
  • Firmware update version 1.10 for the Z 5
  • Firmware update version. 2.10 for the Z50

Nikon will announce new Z7II, Z6II, Z7, Z6, Z5, and Z50 firmware updates tomorrow


Nokishita reports that Nikon will release new firmware updates of the Z7II, Z6II, Z7, Z6, Z5, and Z50 cameras on April 26. The official announcement is expected tomorrow. Some of the firmware improvements are:

  • Z7II and Z6II AF performance improvement
  • Addition of voice memo function to most Z cameras (coming to the Z6II later?)
  • Retain the memory of focus position when the power is turned off (for Z50? only)
  • and more…

Just a reminder that yesterday Nikon introduced their new Z5, Z6, Z7, and FTZ rebates in the US.
