Nikon IR Day presentation materials released

Nikon released their latest IR Day presentation materials. Here are some of the main points for the Imaging Product Business:

Bolster the Z mount system by expanding lens lineup: (50+ lenses and a 2+ lens tie ratio)
Appeal to video creators
Focus on licensing business
Deploy advanced features from the Z9 across the lineup
Focus on apps and the cloud
Focus on mid/high-end models for pro/hobbyists
Revenue from DSLR products is expected to be significantly reduced by 2025 (see top diagram)

The new Voigtlander NOKTON D 35mm f/1.2 lens for Nikon Z-mount is now in stock in the US/UK

Voigtlander has already announced several new mirrorless lenses for Nikon Z-mount (both full-frame and APS-C) and the Voigtlander NOKTON D 35mm f/1.2 lens is already in stock at Amazon US and at WEX UK.

The Voigtlander NOKTON D 35mm f/1.2 lens has full electronic communication – see electronic contacts in the picture above (additional information is available here).

The other Voigtlander lenses for Nikon Z will start shipping soon and pre-orders will be open at Adorama, Amazon, and B&H in the next few days:

What to expect next from Nikon (updated)

What to expect next from Nikon (updated from previous post):

NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.2 (see patent).
NIKKOR Z 600mm f/4 (see patent).
~~Nikkor Z 800mm f/6.3~~ (announced).
~~Nikon Z6II+Z7II firmware updates~~ (announced).
More new Z lenses (development announcements and/or potential roadmap updates).
One new Nikon camera is expected in 2022 – it could be just a development announcement first (two new Nikon cameras were recently registered online).
Since the Z9 announcement, rumors about a new Z8 camera do not make any sense to me, at least not anytime soon.

New APS-C lenses for Nikon Z-mount: Kipon Ibelux 40mm f/0.85 Mark III and Meike 7.5mm f/2.8

The previously rumored Kipon Ibelux 40mm f/0.85 Mark III APS-C mirrorless lens for Nikon Z is now officially announced. Pre-orders are open at B&H but the Nikon Z-mount version is not yet listed (see also the product page). The Mark III version has new glass elements and coatings that will improve the lens performance. Additional information can be found here and here.
