Nikon working on a new Coolpix camera with a large(-r) sensor

Nikon is currently working on a new camera with a large(-r) sensor to compete with the Canon PowerShot G1X ($799). It’s not clear if Nikon will just use the 1″ sensor from their mirrorless line or they will go with a new 1.5″ sensor similar to the G1X. The current Coolpix P7100 camera has 1/1.7″ CCD sensor. I am also not sure if the new camera will be a replacement for the Coolpix P7100 or it will be a completely new product line.
