Nextorage launched their NAB show specials and a new CFexpress Type B NX-B2PRO+ memory card

Our sponsor, Nextorage, announced today the launch of their special NAB deals at B&H Photo. The promotion includes significant discounts on CFexpress memory cards and card readers:

  • Period: April 19 – 26, 2026
  • Maximum Savings: up to $354

At the 2026 NAB Show, Nextorage will showcase a wide range of professional memory storage solutions, including the upcoming next-generation CFexpress Type B NX-B2PRO+ memory card (booth C6728):

“A key highlight of the booth will be the NX‑B2PRO+, Nextorage’s next-generation CFexpress™ Type B memory cards, scheduled for release in the United States soon. The NX‑B2PRO+ is the world’s first[1] CFexpress Type B memory card to support both VPG1600 and VPG400, delivering exceptional sustained write performance for the most demanding professional video applications.”

The Nextorage NX-B2PRO+ Series is the newest addition to Nextorage’s CFexpress Type B lineup. It is the world’s first CFexpress Type B memory card (as of the November 2025 announcement) to officially support both VPG1600 and VPG400 standards simultaneously.

Nextorage developed the world’s first memory card supporting both VPG1600 and VPG400 standards

This dual VPG certification (VPG Profile 5.0 for VPG1600 + Profile 4.0 for VPG400) was obtained from the CompactFlash Association (CFA). The card is designed as a future-proof “bridge” for professional video production: it guarantees a minimum sustained write speed of 1,600 MB/s for upcoming ultra-high-bit-rate cameras while remaining fully backward-compatible with current VPG400 devices.

Key Specifications (NX-B2PRO+ Series)

  • Form Factor: CFexpress Type B
  • Interface: PCIe 4.0 × 2, NVMe 1.4
  • NAND Flash: pSLC (high-endurance, high-performance)
  • VPG Certification: VPG1600 / VPG400 (minimum sustained write: 1,600 MB/s for VPG1600)
  • Capacities:
    • NX-B2PROP1330G → 1,330 GB
    • NX-B2PROP660G → 660 GB (Note: 1 GB = 1 billion bytes; a portion is reserved for system files.)
  • Peak read/write speeds are not yet publicly detailed in the announcement materials (unlike the existing NX-B2PRO series, which reaches up to ~3,900 MB/s read and ~3,600 MB/s write). Expect similarly high performance given the shared CFexpress 4.0 / pSLC platform.
